My purpose in including these ingredients in my blog is to connect us with the concept of seeking guidance and goodness from what Allah (SWT) has provided. Let’s start with honey.
Honey
Quranic references:
Surah An-Nahl (verse 69) describes honey as a healing provision from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala
“There comes forth from their bellies a drink of varying colors, wherein is healing for mankind.”
While the Quran doesn’t explicitly mention honey for skincare, this verse emphasizes the overall benefit of honey.
Honey benefits:
- The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) recommended honey for its healing properties.
- Honey is useful for face masks to nourish and hydrate the skin.
- Honey has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which is helpful for soothing irritated skin or sensitive skin.
